We have converted many garages into kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and kid’s playroom, “granny flats” with en suits… the list is endless. We can show you our portfolio and discuss your needs. We will work with you to get what you want.
How much will a garage conversion cost?
It all depends on your requirements, for example a single garage will cost less than a double garage. Cost will increase with extras such as an en-suite bathroom or if you wish to have a kitchen designed and fitted.
Will a garage conversion add value to our property?
According to property experts, a garage conversion does not only provide extra living space but can add up to 10% to the value of your home.
How long will the garage conversion take?
A single integral garage takes on average 8 working days. A double garage conversion will take on average 14 working days. These may change due to your requirements.
Will I need planning permission for my garage conversion?
In the majority of cases, the work involved in converting a garage will be classed as permitted development. However, if you live in a Conservation Area, a location where development can be restricted to protect the appearance of the surroundings, or on a new estate with strict guidelines, it’s worth checking what’s allowed- we will take care of this for you.
Will I need to follow building regulations?
You’ll need building regulations consent and sign off for the various elements of your build, as with other home alterations. We will check that your local council is happy with your plans before starting work and organise appointments for each stage of the job. Alternatively we will use the private building control firm we use called Compagna.
When do I pay for my garage conversion?
We take a deposit in the region of 15% to 20% of the overall job value. We will then advise you of a payment schedule where you pay a certain percent at different stages through the job. We will provide the breakdown before the contracts are signed. We take the final payment once you are 100% satisfied with our work.
Do you hold full Public and Employers Liability Insurance?
Yes, our policy covers us for no less than five million pounds. A copy can be sent to you on request.
Will we have signed contracts?
Once you have agreed to a start date we will send over a copy of the terms and conditions and a contract. Both parties will sign and both have a copy.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We provide a 10 year guarantee on all our work. A certificate will be provided on completion of the job, along with any other certificates such as electrical certificate or gas certificate.
Can I view work in progress?

Will my conversion look like the original build?
Yes, if it is still in production (or remaining stock can be sourced from somewhere). If not we will get you the very best alternative match. We use a professional brick matcher, who will come to site prior to us starting the job. They will provide a few brick samples for you to choose from.
Will there be a lot of mess and disruption?
We put down a visqueen sheet and cover the drive with plywood to protect the drive from skips and general building work. We protect the internal by using dust sheets. We guarantee to keeping the mess on site to a minimum and leave the in the condition it was when we first arrived. We understand this is your home so will cause as little disruption as possible.
